London Fashion Week will be welcoming its 5th season of International Fashion Showcase, IFS16 ,this month. Sommerset House will become a house for Fashion Utopia, which is a theme of this year’s showcase, as a part of Somerset House exhibition ‘UTOPIA 2016: A Year of Imagination and Possibility’.
During the 5 seasons of the International Showcase, curated by Sarah Mower, MBE, more than 80 designers from around the world were introduced, including Eastern and Central Europe.
This year’s event, during 19-23 of February, will welcome designers from all around the world, including Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine. Londoners are invited to meet Fashion Bloc curated designers Atelier Kikala (Georgia) and (Ukraine).
In the meantime, we are looking forward to meet and collaborate with more new designers, such as a great selection of artists from Czech Republic. Cactus-shaped headpieces, sensual womenswear designed in idiosyncratic techniques or lusciously Romanticism-influenced fetish underwear – these are just a few examples from the collections made by emerging Czech fashion designers. We are very intrigued to meet the best fashion graduates from Prague.
