  • Who are you? We are a small team of London-based fashion professionals (Fashion Bloc + friends) who team up every month to share expertise and insider’s knowledge of the fashion industry.
  • What is this subscription for? Email membership is designed for emerging and aspiring product-based fashion brands and independent designers. It is especially useful if you are trying to grow your brand internationally, regardless where you’re based (London or Kiev…)
  • When will I receive my first email? After you subscribe, you will receive an automated welcome email straight away. Your first membership subscription email will arrive on the 1st Monday of the next month.
  • How often will I be charged? Depending on your subscription (monthly or yearly), you will be charged automatically once a month, each month on the same day of your subscription; or once a year, on the same day of your subscription.
  • Can I cancel anytime? Of course, you can cancel via your portal on Chargebee, or email us at diy@fashionbloc.co.uk. Make sure to cancel before the 15th of the month to avoid the next month’s charges.
  • Can I upgrade to the annual subscription? Yes, you sure do! Just head to your portal on Chargebee and change to our annual subscription or email us at diy@fashionbloc.co.uk.
  • Who is Chargebee? Chargebee is our payment partner who makes sure your payments are safe and convenient.
  • Who is Mailerlite? Mailerlite is our mailing platform.
  • What does rolling subscription mean? A rolling subscription means that we will automatically charge your account monthly or annually (depending on your subscription type) and you don’t have to worry about renewing it every month.
  • What is DIY PR? DIY PR is a section in each of your monthly emails which includes 1 fashion title (online or printed) + 1 fashion editor/stylist and a specific request or feature that they are looking content for that month. You can contact the editor straight away (yes, we will include their email and social media handles) or add their name to your address book and start building your contact database.
  • What is DIY Sales? DIY Sales is a section in each of your monthly emails which includes one Retail lead and one Wholesale lead. You will receive a different retail opportunity (multi-brand store, department store, concept store, online store or pop-up shop) each month, including all the essential details, our insights and a contact person (usually, a fashion buyer) of the store. A Wholesale lead each month will be a tradeshow, a multi-brand showroom or an industry event, including all the details, contact person, fees and our tips and genuine advice about the application process.
  • What is DIY Production? DIY Production section will feature one production company or a small-business friendly factory hand-picked and recommended by our partner Utelier specialising in profiling producers compatible with emerging fashion companies. You will also receive useful tips about production.
  • What is Meet the insider? Every month you will get to know an industry insider be it a fashion buyer, sales agent, business consultant or a blogger. We will ask essential questions; they will answer them and share their contact details as a bonus. Consider it a personal introduction.
  • What is Calendar alert? Calendar Alert is our handpicked international fashion competition, award, grant or another date sensitive opportunity to add to your calendar and apply in the upcoming months.
  • What is Opportunity of the month? This is the best part! Each month we will share a membership-exclusive opportunity which can be a brand consultancy, specific advice, a mentorship or an exchange program with one of our experts and partners. For this one, you have to apply via email as soon as possible as it will be limited to a small number of applicants (1 to 5) and will work on a first come first served basis. You can apply each month.
  • Is each email different? Regardless the subscription you choose (monthly or yearly) the content of the emails will be the same. Each monthly email is different from the previous one.
  • How can I personalise my emails with a yearly plan? After three initial months of your annual subscription, you can find out that you would like to concentrate on Sales rather than PR, or Production (although we recommend doing all in moderation), we give you an opportunity to slightly modify the content of your email. This only applies to DIY PR, DIY Sales and DIY Production. You can choose to receive 2 Sales leads and no PR Leads, or two Production leads and no Sales leads, etc. You can continue like that for the rest of the subscription or change back to the default email at any time.
  • How do you keep the prices so low? We have been working in the fashion industry for a number of years and have acquired huge databases and invaluable know-how. We are following industry news and are networking every day to keep up with the changing fashion world. We have decided that the best way to utilise our know-how, expertise and contacts – share them with emerging businesses, as we know they need this information most.
  • What other services do you provide? Fashion Bloc, founded in 2013 by Ieva Zu, is also an editorial and showcase platform discovering and representing fashion designers and new fashion destinations, currently looking at emerging European markets. If you are an emerging European brand, you can register as a designer HERE. Please note, we only work with fair trade brands and are especially keen to support sustainable businesses. We also provide other designer-friendly services such as copywriting and brand surgery. And finally, we run a Fashion Business Course in London each year. Check our February cohort HERE.
  • How can I register as a designer on Fashion Bloc? You have to fill in this registration form, and we will get in touch. We will get back to everyone, but we select the brands we work with.
